A seductive, intense black-purple colour. The aromas are complex and concentrated tannic aroma, resembling wild fruits from the forest, blackberries, black pepper, very ripe dark plum and spiced wood with great presence of chocolate aromas.
The mouth show great density, plus extra-long and robust taste. Rich and ripe flavours of cranberries and blackberries. It has the taste and robust texture of the best fortified sweet reds, married to the smoky, plumy flavours characteristic of the Tannat variety.
Vanilla spice from new barrels makes for a surprisingly complex sweet red wine. The finish is long and generous with very present tannins and great acidity to balance the sweetness

Pisano belongs to the group of small family vignerons with an artisan tradition of making wines that reflect the character of the land and the people who make them.
Family hands cultivate the grapes, taking away excess crops in productive years, taking leaves away to expose the bunches to the sun for better maturation and skin colour.
Small quantities of each variety allow to wait the perfect maturation to the last day. They begin picking the early maturing varieties the 10th of February and by beginning of April they collect the last ones.
