Hãhã Chardonnay

The nose is full of bold, smoky, toasty oak aromas with white stonefruit, cool citrus, mineral and subtle reductive complexities unfolding.
Medium-bodied, toasty oak flavours are initially prevalent over the underlying citrus and minerally fruit flavours, but the fruit grows to reveal sweetness and succulence at the heart, with good alcoholic drive.
Lacy, ripe acidity adds freshness and cut to the mouth feel, and the flavours flow with good energy and balance to a sustained, dry, smoky finish. This Chardonnay shows plenty of smoky, toasty oak in its youthful state, but the citrus and subtle mineral interest will develop with some time in bottle

In keeping with our tradition of get-togethers, Hãhã Wine started when three families who were already involved in exporting apples, meat and seafood, had a chat about adding wine into the mix.
That conversation lead to a unanimous agreement to produce a mouth-watering New Zealand wine to take to the world. We invited a fourth family to join us and Hãhã Wine was launched with a bang, and quite a few pops, in 2011.
All our vineyards, wineries and bottling facilities are certified as 100% sustainable by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand and we are committed to an environmentally responsible approach.
With a team of talented viticulturists and expert winemakers across New Zealand, our wines are produced in a beautiful fruit-forward style that brings out their complexity, texture and elegant layering. It’s fair to say we’re pretty confident that they punch well above their weight.
Our quest to create great quality, good value wines has lead us to Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay. We’re not saying we won’t add any other places to the Hãhã map of New Zealand, but these world renowned winemaking regions seemed like a great place to start. And a bottle of Hãhã Wine sounds like a good place for you to start your journey with us.
