Boschendal Manumission
Please view wine facts for the current vintage below as the vintage on the image may vary.
Colour: Rich depth in colour hinting to the intense concentration and age ability from the cool climate and small grape berries.
Nose: Outspoken dark berry pastille, cherry and plum aromas layered with spice. All three varietals deliver a variety of nuances that together deliver a complex, rich and inviting nose with the great balance between fruit and oak.
Palate: Integrated silky entry followed by a burst of pronounced cassis and dark cherry flavours etched with some tobacco spice. The hallmark characteristic is the fine integration of fruit and tannins, a balance and an intensity of which was achieved by delicate blending and bringing together the best of all three varietals. The finish is elegant with a lingering fruit that lasts.

BOSCHENDAL (Since 1685)
*Boschendal selected wines are featured in 3 Michelin Star French Restaurant “Joel Robuchon” (Japan)*
Today Boschendal wines are enjoyed in more than 50 countries. The coveted South African Wine Producer of the Year Award that Boschendal brought home from The International Wine and Spirits Competition in London in 2004 benchmarks the global excellence of a brand born of pedigreed origins. Together with an outstanding winemaking team, Boschendal is destined to rise and amaze the world with every passing vintage.
The 1685 range is presented in a unique curvaceous bottle inspired by the traditional bottle design used through the ages and commemorates the year of the original title deeds. These wines express the style and class that is particular to our estate and coastal surrounds, with special focus on purity of fruit lavished with measured modern winemaking for depth, breadth and balance.
